Community Connections
Tablehurst prides itself on being a community farm. This manifests itself in many ways. We are:

-
Community-owned. Tablehurst Farm is owned by a cooperative which in turn has around 600 individual shareholders. They own the farm on behalf of the community.
-
Not for profit. Tablehurst operates as a not-for-profit social enterprise. Our shareholders don’t receive any financial return. Instead, any profit we make is reinvested into our work.
-
Working for the community. Tablehurst aims to serve local people, not just by supplying high quality food but by creating a community hub where people can come together and learn about food, farming and the natural environment from us and from each other.
-
Supported by the community. Tablehurst doesn’t want to stand alone. We believe that the farm will be more secure if it is carried by the local community. Support comes in countless different forms, and we would love to talk to you if you would like to become involved.
-
Collaborations. We collaborate with other like-minded organisations who can help us to reach our community goals.
-
Supporting biodynamic farming. We actively support other biodynamic farming initiatives, particularly in the local area.

In practice, we build community connections through a mix of community events, education initiatives, and volunteering programmes. We want local people to get involved with the farm. Contact us if you would like to know more.
