Vacancy for two Non-Executive Directors

Tablehurst Farm Ltd is seeking to appoint two new non-executive directors. These positions are voluntary and unpaid. 


We are looking for individuals who can make a real difference to the management of our community-owned, not-for-profit enterprise. This will require a time commitment of between one and two days a month, including, but not limited to, attendance at board meetings.


The qualities we are seeking are listed below. You don’t need to meet all of these, but the first two are essential:

 

  • An interest in, and a commitment to, the ideals and objectives of Tablehurst Farm.

  • Acceptance of the legal obligations and responsibilities of a company director.

  • Some experience of business management; the ability to challenge the board and hold our working directors to account.

  • An interest in the long-term strategic development of our whole enterprise.

  • Expertise in one or more elements of our work. We are particularly keen to find someone with experience in biodynamic farming and gardening, but expertise in retailing, food production, hospitality, events or marketing could all be of real value as well.

  • Strong connections in our local community, and the ability to act as a community representative.

  • A willingness to give time to the role, both in board meetings and between meetings.
