Biodynamic wine tasting with The Mistress of Wine, Sam Caporn

The evening will start with a short overview of biodynamic agriculture from Stephen Mills and Briony Young of the Tablehurst farm team followed by a tasting of biodynamic wines led by local wine expert and Master of Wine Sam Caporn. Sam will guide you through a selection of red, white, rosé and sparkling wines, all of which were biodynamically grown and produced, using her 'Wine Flavour Tree' to highlight the aromas, colours and flavours of the wines. All in the beautiful surroundings of Tablehurst's café garden.

Biodynamics is the form of agriculture practised here at Tablehurst which promotes vitality, balance and sustainability, as well as having strong social, ethical and spiritual roots. It has become increasingly popular within viticulture in recent years as winemakers have sought to use its techniques to enhance the flavour and ‘terroir’ of their wines.

Sam Caporn, a.k.a. The Mistress of Wine, is one of 419 Masters of Wine worldwide and received the Madame Bollinger Medal for Excellence in Tasting in 2011 (one of only 16 women to have been awarded it globally).
