This soothing and creative workshop is facilitated by Cecily Kate @ Art Felt Fibres. You will learn how to apply 100% natural carded wool fibre to luxury organic soap and be guided through the wet felting process. You will also learn how to needle felt additional designs onto one of your wet felted soaps.

Your handmade felt soaps make unique gifts, brightening up any bathroom. One of the many benefits of felted soaps is that they gently exfoliate and wash all in one! A beautiful, ethical, earth friendly alternative to plastic soap bottles and packaging.   Cecily Kate uses organic, vegan, palm oil/paraben/SLS/SLES/plastic free soap which she pours herself into oval molds that feel lovely while gently rolling the soap around in our hands using hot and cold water wet felting technique.

*This workshop is suitable for beginners or those who already have some experience of felting.  It is also suitable for accompanied children  age 8+. 

 What's included in the price?  

All merino wool, 2 soaps, felting needles plus tea/coffee and home-made cake.•

 Felted soaps last longer and every last bit of the soap is used. The wool fibres in your felted soap offer a lovely gentle way of cleansing & exfoliating your skin.  Wool felted soaps don’t get soggy, are  easier to handle and don’t slip around in the bath or shower, making it ideal for small children or those with less dexterity.  • With no need for a wash cloth you simply wet the felted soap with water and rub between your hands to lather or directly on your skin.  Allow soap to dry out between uses.• As you use your soap the wool will continue to shrink around it until you are left with a pretty wool felt scrubby, perfect for cleansing your skin or placed in a drawer with a few drops of essential oil to gently scent clothing or bed linen, or even used for cleaning your kitchen!  

The scrubby is 100% biodegradable and can safely be composted once you have finished with it!  At Art Felt Fibres we love to find creative beautiful ways to work with nature!

By the end of this workshop you will have two felted soaps to take away with you.

We will have a short break in the middle for tea/coffee and home made cake.

On the day, please bring with you an old medium sized towel and a plastic bag to take your damp towel home in.

Additional small packs of wool and needles will be available at a low price on the day so you can continue making woolly gifts for Christmas.
