About the event

This year our annual meeting takes place at Tablehurst Farm. It is a public meeting, open to anyone and free of charge.  Please register so that we have a rough idea of numbers for planning purposes. The day includes two special events, first thing in the morning and after lunch, as well as our regular annual meeting programme. The full programme is as follows:

9.00     “Farming with moths” with local naturalist Tom Forward. Tom hopes to trap some moths overnight and give us a sense of how they fit into our ecosystem during the event. This is a stand-alone event for which places are limited and booking is essential.

10.00    Pre-meeting tea and coffee in the sheep barn

10.30    Formal AGM including review of new Co-op Rules and appointment of the new committee

11.15    Farm presentations

11.45    “Farmers’ Question Time”

12.30    Lunch

14.00    “Genetically modified crops – an imminent threat to our farming and wildlife”. A talk by Claire Robinson of GM Watch and Dr Michael Antoniou of King's College London.

14.45    Q&A/discussion session on GM crops

15.30    Close
