About the event

Celebrating 100 Years of Biodynamics: Tablehurst Summer Safari

Join us in celebrating the centenary of biodynamic farming with a 'backstage' tour of Tablehurst farm. Climb aboard our safari trailers for an educational journey with our friendly farmers. They will be there to answer your questions, share their passion for our animals and talk you through the holistic farming practices across our land.

Date: Saturday 6 July 2024

Tour start times: 11am and 2pm

Duration: 1.5 hour per tour

Price: £15/person

Recommended Minimum Age: 8 years old and above to make the most of the educational talks

What to Expect:

  • Gain access to new areas of the farm and see many of our farm animals, including cows, pigs, turkeys, and more!
  • Learn about biodynamic and organic farming methods.
  • Explore the benefits of holistic and ethical farming, as well as our aspirations and challenges for maintaining it for the next century and beyond.

Additional attractions on the farm:

  • We've timed the tours to coincide with our weekly Saturday BBQ, starting at 12pm. Stop by our garden cafe before or after your tour if you want to buy some tasty food and make a day of it!
  • Members of our Community Farm Coop will be on hand all day at a stall outside the shop. They'll be there to talk to our customers and find out why you’re so passionate about our farms.
  • Our shop and cafe will be open as usual, 9am-5pm.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to delve into the world of biodynamic farming and visit the wonderful animals we have at Tablehurst!

Proceeds from this event will go towards our farm fundraising projects, designed to help improve farm operations and equipment for our community. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance to secure your spot.
